The pink Himalayan salt lamp is made of pure Himalayan salt, made of 250 million year old salt crystals that originated from the primeval sea, originating from the salt caves of Pakistan. When the lamp warms up, it purifies the air of dust, pollen and screens due to the increased concentration of negative ions that are released from the lamp. It creates a pure and pleasant room atmosphere. The diffuse light gives a warm glow and harmonious tranquility.

Many of us live and work in an environment surrounded by mobile phones, computers, printers and other electronic devices. The radiation from these devices disrupts the natural balance of the air because an excess of positively charged ions is released into the air. Unique

The salt crystal, also known as Halite, is mined at a depth of 250 meters in Pakistan. The salt is estimated to be 250 million years old. Each piece of salt crystal is manually sorted and then processed into a lamp. Because each lamp is produced by hand in combination with the fact that it is a 100% natural product, there are no two identical salt lamps. The color, shape and construction of each Himalayan salt lamp is unique in its kind.

Usage advice

Halite / Himalayan salt is hygroscopic. This means that a salt lamp attracts moisture. It is therefore completely normal if the lamp becomes moist or even wet. It is therefore wise to place the lamp somewhere where moisture will not do any harm or to place a small bowl underneath. These hygroscopic properties give the 'power' to the salt lamps. Clean the salt lamp by wiping the dust off with a dry cloth. Also place the lamp in a dry place indoors, a bathroom is usually not a good place.

Our salt lamps are delivered complete. Which means fixture (E4 fitting), cord with switch and bulb (15 Watt). Unfortunately, we cannot give any guarantee on the free light bulb that we screw in. However, this bulb is easy to replace yourself if it breaks. Our salt lamps also stand on a beautiful wooden base.

We advise against using a dimmer because this greatly reduces the effect of the salt lamp, as sufficient (light) heat is required for its operation. In addition, all salt lamps already provide a soft, atmospheric light, dimming would not bring any positive added value here.

Salt Lamp and Pets, What You Need to Know

Pay close attention to your pets when you have a salt lamp in your home. Sometimes it happens that pets, especially cats, want to lick the salt lamp. This looks innocent, but it is not. Licking the lamp can cause your pet to get salt poisoning.
